Golf Balkan Ltd. started the reconstruction works at St. Sofia golf course in January 2010.

Paul McGinley, the Irish professional golfer and course designer has been commissioned to redesign the golf course and Golf Balkan to perform the construction works. The redesign is to be completed in two stages. The front nine holes should be completed during the summer, and the back nine holes to be commenced in the winter of 2010.
